Oh yeah! All new school uniform has been brought and I have slavishly iron-on all the name tags and ironed it ALL. Smug? Hell yes. However tomorrow marks a new stress in my mummy life. It's the start of the school summer holidays, just over 6 weeks of endurance, mentality and physically for life with two kids, aged 7 and 5, seeking entertainment. It's the first summer break from school with both Mini K's. They both need the break but equally I'm keen to keep them learning.

We start preparing the garden for predicted heatwave coming our way. New paddling pool has been purchased. Weeds have hacked to pieces. The turtle sand box has even had an airing. I actually love gardening. Growing up, Mum & I spent time together growing veg from seeds, propagating new plants year on year. Mum loves growing food. Food is life in our family. Before kids I did the same, grew loads of my own fruit and veg. We did try to grow together as family but it's hard to keep up with the maintenance. I have planned a few gardening tasks for the summer holiday to encourage some ownership for the Mini K's. Though Neve thinks the possibility of the giant beanstalk is an actual thing.

I'm nervous about leaving Neve at holiday club. She's quite an introvert amongst new people, again like me. I just hope she can see how independent she can be and how confident she is to make new friends. I'm also busy prepping packed lunches for me and the kids. I'm starting to feel like I actually need a holiday myself. Completely away from work. Looking forward to our family escape, I'm on the countdown. Not long now Helles. Just the small matter of workforce plan to finish for my PCN and neighbouring PCN. In other news Mr K has made some middle aisle purchases... not quite a kayak or a hammock but just as random!

Hello readers! Meet Neve Kilminster, daughter/future PADI buddy.
