We might not have been the first to release our job adverts. But hey we've done it.

So as Pioneers for Health reconfigured into 3 separate PCNs but central cluster and north cluster continue to work together.

Additional Workforce Scheme is my bag and so far all the local PCNs meeting have been constructive and positive. Networking with the surrounding community has lead us to some contacts for potential candidates for both PCN pharmacists and social prescriber. Also we've met some incredible Physican's Associates through being trainers for the local university.

For me it's all about finding the right person with the right attitude and attributes. I don't feel you need similar personalities but you need similar mindsets and abilities to share the same vision in a team. There is real value in having diversity in a team. I mean diversity of all the possible spectrums.

We are looking for a senior PCN pharmacist, a PCN pharmacist and a social prescriber.

This PCN is basically a blank page, you can emboss it and you can shape the future for the Primary Care Workforce. We will offer and seek the support you need to thrive.

The PCN pharmacist role is very open to any candidate wishing to pursue a career in General Practice. I know I can mentor this role. The CV's and interviews will highlight to me who I'm most likely to see the most potential in. Let's not forget these roles will need deliver services. Proof is always in the pudding. Nervously excited to see if we get any applicants and reading CVs when I can back from annual leave.

I've taken the decision not to blog until I'm back from holiday. I need this downtime.

So this is me signing off for a few days...

Good luck to all PCN applicants - believe in yourself, know your worth and don't be scare you share your concerns at interview. Please read around, understand the beast that is General Practice. It's demanding in a unique way but really rewarding and enriches the soul.

Know what you want, have an open mind and go for it. Dazzle us!
