There's been one local engagement event already to set the scene.

Today was about sharing greats examples of case successes and networking with the local voluntary sector. Whether they be a small organisation or part of a national organisation. The room soon filled with chatter.

Sapphire is our appointed social prescriber. She's been working in the admin team at Slieve but she has a degree in psychology and a passion to do more with her career. Sapphire is kind and compassionate soul, the patience and resilience that allows her to work well in our pressurised bubble. I will be supporting her every step of the way in her journey. In my previous job I have completed a local pilot 6-month training pathway for care navigation in frailty and vulnerable older adults. I loved the training and felt I could offer more support and empathy to the people that I met.

I've also brought along David Gallier-Harris who represents the local LPC. (It has been very much a LPC week!) I feel community pharmacists need to know what social prescribing is all about and the role community pharmacists have to play to support this agenda. I know community pharmacists are able to actively signpost, but truthfully do they signpost to the most appropriate organisation? Does this compliment Do we all know what's out there? After 30 mins of the session clearly not. We don't know simply what we don't know.

Those that know me well know I like to doodle. I love a sketch note and I have a Rocket Book that helps capture my random thoughts in some sort of fashion. I have stored so much in my heads cape today, here's a sketch note to show what I'm thinking.
