I have no idea where start with today. It's been mad, crazy busy. I don't quite know how I've got through it. I still can hardly speak. I'm still shattered from the weekend.

I walked into absolute chaos. It wasn't the usual pretty bedlam site that I'm used to seeing on a Monday morning.

Here's a recap of the my day: (don't forget PCN Clinical Directors are clinicians too!)
1. Triage calls
2. Manage expectations from a busy reception
3. Support staff with a patient who's going to faint in the waiting room
4. Attempt to reprint blood forms for phlebotomy clinic but failed
5. ICE is not connecting to EMIS
6. Window 10 migration is in process across the whole surgery
7. Given a new username and password to remember, despite changing servers only a month ago
8. Manage a few emails and alerts
9. Running around to find some peak flow mouth pieces
10. QOF clinic starts - today has been mainly asthma
11. Training time with Year 2 Physician Associates
12. Meeting with industry, Lilly - to talk all things diabetes care and opportunities for PCN
13. Managed a few emails and queries about triaged calls
14. Practice is merging with another practice TODAY, minimal clinical staff available. Just me and one GP!
15. Celebrate Dr Alonzo's 30 years in practice - with cake and samosas
16. Back to clinic
17. Corrected my printer to actually print from EMIS
18. Referral paperwork done and blood forms completed
19. Printed off some email attachments to read at home
Glad to be home with some honey and lemon...
